Alpine Rescue Hits the Big Time!

Have you EVER seen someone play a REAL Vectrex on their Twitch Stream? ZeroPage Homebrew did an amazing job of filming their Vectrex live as they played an hour of Alpine Rescue during their April 5th Twitch livestream! They usually focus on Atari games, so let's show them how passionate the Vectrex community is by watching, liking, and commenting on the video of their playthrough: ZeroPage HomeBrew Vectrex Special!

Be sure to stay tuned afterwards to watch some cat antics, see a real couple try to keep their cool in Love Connection, and then learn all about the strangely unknown bullet-hell Space Death for the Vectrex. Check it out now and then come back and finish reading the news!

Rescuer's Reviews

We love hearing feedback from the field. Here's what rescuers are saying!

“It's a Masterpiece!” — jgkspsx

“This is awesome. The depth and matching sound in the final section is super cool. My first gaming experience was Blue Max on the Commodore 64 so flying under bridges in that game is a key gaming memory for me, my father, and my grandfather who all enjoyed Blue Max back in the day. Great game!” — Peter

Wait! Where's My Copy of Alpine Rescue?

Alpine Rescue emails often end up in the spam box of potential rescuers. We have emailed copies of the game to everyone that ordered one. If you've filled out the survey or paid money and haven't heard from us, search your spam email for "Alpine Rescue" — chances are your files are waiting there. Otherwise simply reply to RetroWorldChamps@gmail.com and we'll get you some answers!

Shhhh... Secret Hint #3

In the overhead stage, your helicopter isn't the only thing that turns invisible when going under a bridge. Birds and trees also become invisible as the bridge passes over them. For that reason, it's often safer to fly over bridges instead of under them. Just keep an eye out for those high power lines — luckily, there will never be a power line directly over a bridge!

Final news! So excited that Alpine Rescue version 1.3 is almost finished! This version has quite a few requested enhancements and some key bug fixes discovered by our players. As always, all previous purchasers will receive the newest version once completed and thoroughly tested. Expect that to arrive in your email inbox (or spam box) sometime in May 2025!

Until then, happy rescuing, fellow adventurers!
